UPMC PRESBYTERIAN LEVEL 7 SOUTH
PROJECT: Patient Treatment Rooms
OWNER: UPMC
ARCHITECT: Stantec
location:

Oakland, Pennsylvania

This project marked an important milestone for UPMC Presbyterian.  Level 7 South set in motion the transition of the old Children’s Hospital in Oakland, which had been unoccupied for two years, into UPMC Presbyterian South Tower.  It was the first floor in this building to be renovated and occupied by patients. Although most projects these days are considered fast track, this 22,000 SF renovation was completed on a true fast track schedule. The entire project was finished in just 80 days.  UPMC hired Landau Building Company for this project due to our past experience and reputation for never missing a completion deadline.  Due to the hard work and close coordination between Landau and both the architect and owner, the project team was able to bring in a successful project on time and within the allotted budget.

“From a personnel side, I greatly appreciate the efforts of Landau Building Company as they made my job a whole lot easier by their coordination, concern for quality and safety, driving the schedule and furnishing the work force who always showed the
same respect for the project and hospital in general.”

-Thomas Edwards, UPMC Project Manager
