The D.T. Watson Rehabilitation Hospital in Sewickley, Pennsylvania was a two story brick addition designed around a center courtyard. A traditional slate roof was installed to match the existing building. Durable fiberglasss cornices were fabricated to resemble old world style using modern technology.
Landau Building Company provided construction services that met the budget constraints of the hospital. Special attention was given to maintain a high level of finish materials, detailed design elements and technology. The original construction schedule was accomplished.
The successful collaboration of the architect/engineer/construction team won both the distinguished American Institute of Architecture Design Awards and the Master Builders Association Building Excellence Honor Award for the completion year.
