Orchard Hill Church
Landau Building Company continues work on the $4 million , 30,000sf Children’s Ministry Expansion. The steel is being set this week. The work will include a gymnasium, expanded lobby and more space for the children's ministry. Orchard Hill Church has a congregation of 2,500 - 3,000. Landau was also the contractor of the original facility built in 1989. The architect for this project is Goss Pasma out of Chicago.

Elliott Company
Landau Building Company was recently awarded a contract from the Elliott Company for pre-construction services for a $18 million new office building in Jeannette, PA. Elliott is an international company that manufactures turbines used in the oil industry. KSBA Architects is the design firm selected.

Murrysville Commons
Work is underway on a medical office building in Murrysville, PA. The architect of this project is RSSC Architecture.

MedExpress
The Interior fit-out of a new urgent care facilty for MedExpress in Johnstown, PA. will be complete by August 4, 2010. Landau previously built a facility for MedExpress in Cranberry Township, PA. The architect for MedExpress is Paul Slowik and Associates.

MedExpress
Landau Building Company is also bulding an interior fit-out of a new urgent care facilty for MedExpress in State College, PA. Construction of this facility will be complete by Labor Day. Paul Slowik and Associates is the architect for this project too.

UPMC Shadyside
Landau Building Company continues the renovations of the Family Lounges at UPMC Shadyside.

Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church
Preconstruction services are almost completed for additions and renovations to the Hope Evangelical Luthern Church in Cranberry, PA. A Ground Breaking Ceremony will be held on August 15, 2010. Paul Slowik and Associates is the architect for this project too.

UPMC Shadyside
Landau Building Company has completed Construction Management Services for the SHY Nuclear Camera Renovationas of last week. The EP Lab has an anticipated completion date of September 13, 2010. The project design was done by IKM/ Burt Hill.

Reproductive Health Specialists
Landau Building Company continues interior work at Reproductive Health Specialists. The additions and alterations to 419 Rodi Road, Pittsburgh, PA. (former home of Tivoli Restaurant) Work includes new exterior finishes, renovation of building interiors, site modifications and various additions. L. Robert Kimball and Associates is the architectural firm involved. Landscaping is taking place now and work is expected to be complete by the end of July 2010.

RIDC - Precision Therapeutics Incorporated
Landau Building Company converted an old chocolate factory into Precision Therapeutics’s new high-tech 19,000 s.f. offices in Lawrenceville. Work included the installation of autoclaves, growth monitoring labs, incubators, bio hazard storage areas and quarantine holding rooms. The mechanical systems were intense. A chilled beam cooling system was used. Electrical outlets and 96 CO2 drop valves were installed into the ceiling to service the sophisticated equipment. Despite the discovery of a multitude of surprises and a compressed schedule, Landau completed the project on time and under budget.
The Chocolate Factory is a redevelopment of the former home of Geoffrey Boehm Chocolates and owned by RIDC.Precision Therapeutics, a life-science company that individualizes cancer therapy through research, is fully equipped to perform tissue culture-based analysis. WVU Health Sciences Center Vivarium Expansion
Landau Building Company continues the ongoing expansion and renovation project at the WVU Health Sciences Center. Work includes the incorporation and renovation of existing corridors, offices, suites, miscellaneous labs and storage rooms. Interor finishes such as special coatings are being applied. The MEP equipment start up is complete. A completion date of August 20, 2010 is anticipated.

Heritage Valley Health System - Beaver
Landau Building Company has completed the Emergency Department Auxilary at Heritage Valley Health System- Beaver. Landau Building Company was the general contractor for the addition and renovation project that included a 45,000 square foot 3-story addition. The new technical healthcare space includes one fluoroscopy room, 42 emergency department exam rooms, advanced medical gas delivery systems, and custom HVAC equipment.
In addition to building a new Lobby and G.I. Lab, Landau renovated 30,000 square feet of existing space to rebuild the hospital’s Emergency Department, expanding it from 26 to 42 beds, and will remodel the former emergency department into a new 11,000 square foot Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Completion of the cath lab is expected in August 2010.
Landau has also completed the fourth floor rehabilitation department, a new Woundcare, CT and Fluoroscopy facility at Heritage Valley Beaver. .
The architectural firm on the project was Paul Slowik and Associates in Pittsburgh, PA.
