After a few years of planning, owner Greg Norton's new South Hills Honda scheduled construction with Landau Building Company. Working alongside architect Dean Hess, Landau built the new dealership located on Washington Road in McMurray, PA on the same site as the former dealership because it offered great visibility and ideal traffic volume. The business remained open during construction. Landau and South Hills Honda worked together to coordinate the demolition, construction, and turnover while also keeping the customers and employees happy. Thanks to great teamwork and communication, Norton's business was virtually unaffected despite operating in an active construction site. The new dealership incorporates environmentally-friendly elements. For example, a ten-thousand gallon tank collects rain water that is used in the new car wash. The reclaiming system collects and filters the water, and then it pumps it back out to be used. Similarly, used oil from cars is collected into a two-boiler system with a four-thousand gallon capacity and reused to heat the main service garage and the drive-thru service area.
