Pittsburgh, PA, – November 24, 2025 – Landau Building Company, a construction manager and general contractor serving Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virgina, has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by WBEC East, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
“As a sixth-generation family business, becoming a certified WBE is an important milestone for our company and the direction we’re heading,” said Jennifer Landau, President of Landau Building Company. “We’ve come a long way, and we’re here because of the trust of our clients, the hard work of our team, and the industry partners who continue to support us.”
Landau Building Company provides construction management and general contracting services across healthcare, higher education, and commercial markets. President Jennifer Landau began her career at Landau in 1999 as a co-op student and transitioned to full-time in 2001. Over the years, she has served as project engineer, estimator, project manager, and vice president before becoming president. She holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Construction Management from the University of Pittsburgh and is a LEED Green Associate and Certified Healthcare Constructor.
WBENC certification is awarded through a thorough process that includes an in-depth business review, verifying that the company is at least 51 percent owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women, with appropriate structure and strategic oversight in place. The certification provides access to a national network of resources, business development opportunities, and connections among corporations, government entities, and other certified businesses.
